Southlake Senior Pictures – Studio – Park – Town Square

~Vanessa~

Vanessa’s Senior Pictures at the Southlake Town Square was actually part 2 of her 2 part session. Part 1 was the day before in the studio.

Vanessa chose to have 3 locations in what we call ‘having it all’!  We began in our studio where we utilized our signature lighting for magazine style portraits. Part 2 consisted of ethereal natural sunrise light at the park where it was literally freezing but Vanessa looked warm and glowing. {How about that one of her in the tree? Or the one with all of the sunflare where she’s holding her clarinet? She almost holds it like a baby. I love it so much.} Part 2 also brought us to the Town Square where we walked around trying to keep warm. Her dad brought us Starbucks to help the cause! The morning light was streaming through the buildings just the way I love it and the colors there are amazing as always. The only difference was that at 8 am on a Sunday morning it was our own private photo set. Not a soul was around!

Vanessa chose beautiful outfits and colors that suit her coloring perfectly  and  coordinated well with the buildings in the town. She spent time planning her accessories (shoes!) and makeup/lipstick to match which made all the difference in her portraits.

What I love about Vanessa is her quiet determination. Her seeming inner strength and depth that is increasingly apparent as you get to know her little by little.  Vanessa is the president of the French Club at Carroll Senior High. She loves science, especially physics and wants to pursue it in college, perhaps doing medical research someday. She loves band and is an all region clarinet and section leader.

And she has family that loves and supports her and all of these things that she does and aspires to do.What an uplifting experience for us to spend this time getting to know them throughout Vanessa’s senior photo experience.

If you are looking for senior pictures in Southlake or Grapevine, Colleyville or anywhere in DFW, please give us a call! We can talk about how you want to be photographed. We’ll discuss how you want to display your senior pictures. We’ll talk about your style and your personality; your interests and your vibe. And how to put your outfits together. Then we’ll design a session that tells your story!
