Musician Senior Session – Southlake Senior Pictures

~Paul~

Musician senior sessions are a common occurrence at Toni Burks Photography and if you’ve read many of our blog post that comes as no surprise! But let’s talk a little bit about the amazing Paul first and what he did to make these awesome images out on Grapevine Lake before the rising of the sun one summer morning.

He carried every piece of his beautiful shiny drum kit at least a quarter of a mile to the edge of the water on the tip of the rock so that he could place it in the perfect spot for the anticipated sunrise. We waited in the dark and the sun rose slowly and Paul played. We were thrilled to be there and to have the opportunity to capture these beautiful images.

I hope his family enjoys them in the future just as much as we have enjoyed making them and looking at them over and over again. Such lovely, hopeful light-filled images – so much like Paul!

Are you a musician? How would you feel about a musician senior session?

We work everyday with high school musicians as part of our secondary role as photographers for the Carroll Dragon Band and now also the Colleyville Heritage Panther Band. Also both of our kids are musicians even to this day so we’ve been shooting musicians for 20 plus years. It’s our passion and we’re always looking for new ways to shoot a musician senior session. If you have an instrument that you would like to include as a part of your senior session or would like to feature your love for your music as your senior session, let’s talk! We love to hear your ideas!
